Reflection 4th Grading Period

Woooooaaaaaaahhhhhh!!!! Last Quarter at last.

Photoshop here! Photoshop there!

This year’s evaluation of my studies are on huge list. Hectic schedule………requirement overload are in the end note. I get perished; I even get frustrations filling all these necessities.

AGAIN ---Couple of months has already passed by; meaning, time consumed before graduation is kicking near. We would say goodbye with each other, we would part each other’s destiny but time will ease the pain. Memories come to hold the; bond; regardless of hurdles coming onto our ways. And so on we will not let go of those reminiscences.

Reflection 3rd Grading Period

Today’s quarter remains a file of hectic schedule; different areas and contest are being held: moreover time management is needed to accomplish this different task.

‘I’d rather do’ …………

Though I didn't seem to be good at everything; usually I do the best of my ability. The capacity of my brain; the importance of learning not only for compliance but as well as building oneself distribution in learning–ICT : more importantly in blogging and etc. : it is a systematic way in which we are given opportunities to be aware of social issues that concerns the welfare of every Filipino. Blogging can be both learning and a fun activity but we should not forget that we should be responsible for the thoughts and opinions we are expressing. Moreover we needed not to impart deleterious thoughts.

My Dream, My Future

Do you pay attention in how fast time goes by? Before we realize, time has passed by and all the dreams we had for our future have not yet come true. The reason is because our dreams are just dreams and haven’t yet become goals.
“Live Your Values, Pursue Your Dreams, And Follow Your Passions”. This really implies the true ways we must do to have the best future life we could possibly have. Seeing through around the earth, we will find all kinds of people exist in the world. I think why those people are different from each other might be a difficult task to study-----which factor influences and drives them different. It is lucky that I am the one among them so I know that mine is my dream.
Therefore, we must fulfill those precious one called Dream during the rest of our short Life. As for me, I have my own dreams too. If you ask me this in my childhood, I would say: “I want to be a teacher… I want to be an actor… and so on…”. But if you ask me now, I will tell you I have three major dreams. First, I want to graduate this school with the Best grades ever! So, my parents can be proud of me. Second, I want my life to be colorful and beatific. Enjoying life doesn't waste money, we should use many to do some significative things. For instance, we can contribute our money to help the poor and homeless children, we can travel to somewhere to see the nature scene, we can buy book or collect your interested things to enrich our life, we also can have time to play with your family. Third, I want to travel all around the world. I have always been curious about other cultures and the differences between people in other countries. It would be amazing to travel the whole world. Just realize that you are Riding an Elephant which is the Biggest terricole being, or standing on the Highest spot of magical Pyramids in Egypt, or maybe wandering Deep in the sea and seeing unidentified creatures. Furthermore I would love to bungee jump or swim with sharks, experiencing life to the limits. In the future I may have new dreams, but the first goal I have to achieve is getting my diploma. This is one of the keys to accomplish my other goals and dreams. After becoming a professional, I want to start a family, one lovely wife and maybe three children’s and have one beautiful cozy home to raise my kids and grow old with the people I love the most.

Change: It starts with me

Change is inevitable in life. Everything around us is changing with the passage of time. Each individual get a change to bring a change in his life. Some welcome it with a smile as a challenge while other refute it and stick to their stereo type routines.

Perhaps one of the most unpleasant feelings one can experience in life is being discontent with oneself. Whereas we are prone to notice negative features in other people, we rarely turn our eyes on ourselves to critically evaluate our behavior or personal qualities. But if we do, we can notice many traits within ourselves that we would not like to be there. I try to stay tolerant towards the majority of my personality features. Though, simultaneously with my positive qualities, I can be a lazy, irresponsible, apathetic downer. I learned to live with these and other drawbacks; but the quality that I would enjoy getting rid of is my tendency to doubt my decisions.

Would I like to completely quit doubting? I think not. Doubts are a natural mechanism which helps us make the best possible decision in every particular case; without this ability we would most likely make random, uninformed decisions regardless of their possible consequences. But at the same time, when the decision is made, you must start working to actualize it without hesitation, and this is the moment when doubts become troublesome. The more you think over a certain action of yours, the more likely you will delay the actual realization of what is on your mind.

Insight of Kannawidan Festival

KANNAWIDAN is an Ilocano term which means “a feast of all heritages, practices and products” in Ilocos Sur. Now on its second year, the feast is in commemoration of the separation of the province of Ilocos Sur by virtue of the Royal Decree on February 2, 1818. This year will be its 192nd anniversary. The celebration concocts various activities wherein its main thrust is tourism promotion through the presentation of talents, indigenous costumes, traditions, cultures and products that is distinctly Ilocos Sur. Exposing these heritages to others will definitely strengthen its demand thus further generating job opportunities and more income to the communities in the province. This week-long festivity, which is principally sponsored by the Provincial Government of Ilocos Sur, currently headed by Governor Deogracias Victor ‘DV’ B. Savellano, aims to develop the province into an economically-strengthened community and to instill pride in its citizenry with their very rich heritage.
Ilocos Sur, our very own province has rich and stunning cultures and traditions that we Ilocanos must be proud of. In order to showcase these, we have important festives just to exhibit and promote products of ours and precious cultures of Ilocanos to attract and invite tourists to come and visit Ilocos. One of these is the Kannawidan Ylocos Festival which is a week-long festive of happiness for local and foreign tourists as more entertaining events are included in the celebration. Now on its 5th year, the Kannawidan Ylocos Festival had already established its identity as the prime festival of the province. The festival was launched in 2008 under the leadership of then Governor Deogracias Victor B. Savellano to commemorate the 190th foundation day of Ilocos Sur as separate province through the approval of a Spanish Royal Decree on February 2, 1818. The province has a rich heritage and unique cultures that need to be preserved for the next generations. However, many of these traditions, songs, dances and other Ilocano cultures were not already familiar to the younger generations due to the influence of the television, computer and internet. Highlights include the members of the Bayanihan Dance Company entertained the Ilocanos with their world class performance of the Beauty of the Philippines through dances, music and sounds. Their graceful movements and excellent rendition of songs and playing the indigenous musical instruments drew attractions from the crowd. Governor Luis Chait Singson and Vice Governor Savellano together with the officials of the Department of Education Division of Ilocos Sur signified the start of the different contests for elementary and high school students. These include traditional tribal rituals, choir and glee club competition, marching band contest, traditional music ensemble, dance drama, traditional and folk dances, contemporary dance competition and street dancing showdown. These events aimed to encourage young Ilocanos to learn these indigenous songs and dances for sustainability and preservation. Another important event is the Partuat ken Patanor Trade and Agri Fair. Officials from the trade and agri fair displayed all products from the different towns of the Ilocos Sur and its nearby provinces. The annual “Pinaka Contest” was also held to give citations the local farmers’ extraordinary farm and fishery products and livestock. This Kannawidan Ylocos Festival aims to create awareness on the preservation of the province’ rich cultural heritage, practices and traditions, and a showcase of the different agriculture and industry products. We, Ilocanos should all be proud of with this because we are having this for tourists to appreciate our rich culture. Moreover, let us all preserve these cultures for next generations and this will serve as our trademark as an Ilocano.

I missed all the warm hugs, kisses, smile, love and happiness specially during this time of the year and it is priceless.

From my past experiences I have learned a lot of things specially in the aspects of life itself, which made me realized to accordingly and responsibly. That is why I came up with ideas which are now made into my promises. My family is my inspiration and with the guidance of the Lord I believe that I can make this happen. Focus on my studies and the thing money can never buy is having my family so closely together again. All I need is luck, happiness, peace, friendship and love.

The Essence of Christmas

Christmas is a time to renew bonds of love. It's a wonderful time when loved ones can show appreciation for each other. It's also a great time to use that love to build bridges of understanding, acceptance, and forgiveness.

Christmas is best enjoyed when it isn't centered on decorations, gifts, or festivities, but when love is at its core. Love is the essence of Christmas. Christmas should mean taking quality time with your family and friends. It's about cherishing and celebrating the love you share.

Christmas is a time to see the world through the eyes of love. It's a time to remember that the world is made up of people like us and to see them for who they are inside. All have problems like we do, no matter who they are or where they come from.

Finally, Christmastime is a season of joy. It is a time to regain our laughter and sense of humor. Everything may collapse; life itself may be very cruel, but our optimism must be very high. With our laughter we can challenge the sad world to look at us and be hopeful. We wish all our readers a joyful and peaceful Christmas.
